The first hearing in the NEET paper leak case before the fast-track court was adjourned after the CBI failed to send a lawyer. The case will now be heard on August 3 at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. The opposition has since questioned the government’s commitment to tackling paper leaks. Recently, the government introduced an amendment bill in the Lok Sabha to strengthen action against paper leaks. The bill proposes that trials be completed within three months of the filing of the chargesheet.
