What you'll do

  • Build growth and partnerships across audience, brand, distribution and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with values-aligned brands, agencies, platforms, funders and mission-aligned organisations.
  • Turn opportunities into proposals, pitches, packages and collaborations.
  • Lead outreach, meetings, negotiation, follow-through and relationship management.
  • Protect editorial independence while building commercially credible offers.

What you bring

  • 7-12 years in media growth, partnerships, business development, branded content, audience strategy or adjacent fields.
  • Experience building something tangible: a partnership portfolio, commercial offer, client base, audience initiative or new product.
  • Strong positioning, pitching, relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Good judgment about which commercial opportunities strengthen the newsroom and which do not.
