According to UNESCO's 2019 State of the Education Report for India: Children with Disabilities, based on the 2011 Census, India has 78.6 lakh children with disabilities, making up 1.7% of the country's child population. Yet, three-fourths of children with disabilities below the age of five and one-fourth of those aged 5–19 do not attend any educational institution. A classroom that isn't built for every child, is it really education for all?
