A parliamentary reply by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has revealed that scholarship payments under the National Scholarship for Higher Education for ST Students (Top Class Scheme) were delayed for over 2,500 students in the 2024-25 academic year. The ministry also disclosed that more than ₹20.22 crore in tuition and admission fee payments remained pending across 144 colleges and universities, affecting 2,527 students.
