According to a Times of India report, the Ministry of External Affairs also outlined what the government says India gained from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits. In its written reply to the Rajya Sabha, the government said PM Modi signed 316 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during overseas visits from July 2021 onwards. These agreements covered sectors including defence, digital technology, AI, semiconductors, education, healthcare and agriculture. The government also said India received US$381.8 billion in gross Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) between April 2021 and December 2025, highlighting it alongside these international engagements.
