Ujjain’s Simhastha 2028 road-widening drive will partially demolish the Shahi Masjid near Chatri Chowk after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cleared the project. The same widening exercise is affecting hundreds of structures, including CM Mohan Yadav’s ancestral home, as the city prepares for larger pilgrim crowds.
