UGC-NET controversy
After the UGC-NET controversy involving repeated questions, factual mistakes and translation errors, the National Testing Agency has removed 50 staff members and begun a major overhaul of its examination system. The agency is now hiring professionals for key roles in cybersecurity, test security, psychometrics and technology. The move comes after nationwide criticism and student protests over errors in the English, Commerce and Sociology papers, which will now be re-conducted on September 9 and 10.
