The doctors say the protest will continue until their stipend demands are addressed

The protesters were AYUSH intern doctors from government Ayurvedic and Unani colleges in Uttar Pradesh. They had gathered near the GPO in Lucknow demanding an increase in their monthly stipend, which they say is far lower than what many other medical interns receive.
