Panchayat in Jharkhand's Gumla allegedly tries to settle rape of three-year-old girl

In Gumla, Jharkhand, a village Panchayat reportedly attempted to cover up the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl by fining the accused ₹1 lakh. The accused allegedly paid ₹20,000, which was used to fund a meat and liquor party, before police were secretly alerted and arrested the suspect.
