SBI probes dark web leak of 3897 customer records containing PII out of 3.75L records under scrutiny

SBI, India’s largest public-sector bank, is investigating a suspected data leak. The incident raises serious questions about how safely customers’ personal information is being protected. On October 20, a hacker group reportedly claimed access to around 3.75 lakh SBI-linked records and 2,722 documents.
