Pakistan will remain “forever grateful”

Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for the India-Pakistan ceasefire after Operation Sindoor. Now, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif has publicly backed that version, calling Trump’s intervention decisive and saying Pakistan will remain “forever grateful” to him. India, however, has consistently rejected the claim that Washington brokered the ceasefire, maintaining that the decision to halt military action was reached directly between India and Pakistan. The contrasting accounts have kept the question of who actually brokered the May 10 ceasefire at the centre of political debate.
