A government official deputed for SIR supervision was allegedly assaulted while on duty in Bengaluru’s DJ Halli on Wednesday. According to the FIR, Slum Board Superintendent Pakeerappa intervened after a dispute broke out between a Booth Level Officer (BLO) and two men over SIR forms. He alleged that the men assaulted him, causing injuries to his lip, eye and back. After receiving treatment at Ambedkar Hospital, he filed a police complaint.
