Jammu & Kashmir-based operator Joginder Singh refused to abandon the machine
In Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, a flash flood triggered by a cloudburst in Tamak Nala a day ago swept away a vehicle and a bridge, while an excavator was also on the verge of being washed away. Jammu & Kashmir-based operator Joginder Singh refused to abandon the machine and managed to bring it to safety. Uttarakhand Police later praised his courage. Joginder has now returned to the site and resumed work. Meanwhile, authorities have built an alternative route at the site of the washed-away bridge, restoring movement in the area.
