The Saharanpur Police in Uttar Pradesh sent a notice to social media platform X regarding a post by journalist Sachin Gupta. The journalist had posted about plans by the Hindu Raksha Dal to offer water at the Darul Uloom Deoband seminary, based on claims that a Shivling exists beneath the premises.
