Heavy rain pushed Uttarakhand’s Bean River in Rishikesh into spate when a Max vehicle overturned in the strong current, trapping two people inside. According to SDRF Inspector Kavindra Sajwan, the vehicle was coming from Haridwar towards Rishikesh when the driver entered the swollen river. The strong current swept the vehicle away, but SDRF teams rescued both people after nearly an hour. They were later sent to hospital for treatment.
