Gen Alpha students are back on the streets.

Girls from the government-run Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya staged a protest on August 17 in Lucknow, demanding action over a shortage of teachers and disruption of classes.The second protest in 4 days. Despite heavy rain, the students gathered at the Dubagga–Kanpur Bypass and Balaganj intersections, carrying posters, raising slogans and forming a human chain. The protest came just three days after male students of the same school held a similar demonstration. The students’ repeated protests have put the spotlight on the basic functioning of government schools in India.
