Dipke claimed that he was assaulted and taken away by the police
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke alleged that he was beaten up and detained by Delhi Police during the removal of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk from the Jantar Mantar protest site. Wangchuk, who had reportedly been on a 21-day hunger strike, was shifted to a hospital amid concerns over his health. In a video message after the incident, Dipke claimed that he was assaulted and taken away by the police. He also urged people to protest from their respective locations, saying that “this dictatorship” would not be tolerated.
