CJP alleges its Bengal volunteer’s father died after BJP workers attacked him. The incident reportedly took place in Karisunda village, Bankura, after CJP volunteer Abdul visited a government primary school as part of the party’s school-survey campaign. Abdul alleged that BJP workers later came to his home and assaulted him and his family, leaving his father with a head injury. CJP legal affairs head Ratna Singh alleged that the family was later intimidated. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. Police confirmed the death, but they had not received a complaint at the time of the report, Scroll reported.
