An audit by the Accountant General (AG) in Rajasthan has uncovered an alleged ₹57 crore cattle subsidy scam. The irregularities reportedly took place between 2023 and 2024, with several gaushalas allegedly benefiting from them. The audit found that 38 gaushalas claimed nearly 1.32 lakh more cattle in their applications than were actually present. However, the gaushala operators have denied the allegations, stating that the issue is not related to fake subsidy claims but to discrepancies in documents and records.
