Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja was a fighter pilot and Flight Commander of the Indian Air Force's 17 Squadron, the Golden Arrows, during the 1999 Kargil War. On May 27, 1999, he flew a mission to locate fellow pilot Flight Lieutenant K. Nachiketa, whose aircraft had been hit.
